Idaho Motor Vehicle Records Can Be Ordered without a Subscription

Available to individuals and businesses without a subscription who can provide the vehicle identification number (VIN) as well as title number and are authorized to receive vehicle information under the federal Driver Privacy Protection Act in addition to the provisions of Idaho Code § 49-203.

The cost is $8.50 per record request.

The application is designed to allow authorized individuals, financial institutions, dealerships, and others to obtain a title or registration record as maintained by the Idaho Department of Transportation for a vehicle they own or for a vehicle they may be purchasing, financing, accepting as a trade-in, etc.
