Ada County partnered with Access Idaho to offer new service

Ada County Clerk’s Office customers can now pay for public record requests online using a credit or debit card.

The Clerk’s Office uses Access Idaho’s payment engine to take Visa, MasterCard American Express and Discover cards through the county’s online public information request system at www.adacounty.id.gov/clerk/public-records-request.

“We are excited to add this aspect of customer service and Access Idaho made it easy for us to offer online payments to people requesting records,” said Meg Keenan, Ada County Clerk’s Office Section Supervisor.

More than 160 county departments in the Gem State use Access Idaho’s payment processing service. In addition to payment processing, Access Idaho manages the state’s official Web portal, idaho.gov, and specializes solely in electronic government applications for Idaho. The partnership operates under a self-funded model, in which no tax dollars or county funds were used to develop and maintain the service.

Access Idaho is a Boise-based company and a wholly owned subsidiary of digital government firm NIC (Nasdaq: EGOV).
