Mobile Payment Serice Processes Nearly $1,000 in One Day

The City of Meridian Police Department had everything they needed to raise money for their K9 Unit except a way to take electronic payments. That’s when they called upon Access Idaho.

“Access Idaho provided us with equipment to accept credit card payments for our March event, which really boosted donations,” said Berle Stokes, Patrol Lieutenant for the Meridian Police Department.

A Meridian business donated 1,000 Meridian Police themed stuffed dogs, with all proceeds from their sale earmarked for Meridian’s K9 Unit.

“To date, we have raised well over $10,000,” Stokes added. “The money will be used to provide advanced training for our canine teams and purchase ballistic vests for all the dogs. We also hope to use future monies to perhaps purchase another canine.”

Access Idaho processes payments for other City of Meridian departments, including the Mayor’s Office, Community Development, the Clerk’s Office and Public Works.

“Access Idaho was a fantastic partner during this fundraising effort,” Stokes said.

OnTheGo uses NIC’s secure payment processor that takes Visa, MasterCard, AMEX, and Discover. For more information about OnTheGo.
